Teacher at DéDé Dance
I am Cristy, I am 19 years old and I am from Eindhoven. I am currently following the social work course at Summa and I enjoy it very much. I myself dance at the ballet school in Veldhoven and have done so for 12 years. When I was 3 years old I started dancing but it was not a success in the beginning.... I always really liked the new dance clothes, so every time there was new clothes I started dancing again haha. Eventually my mother realized this and I was only allowed to dance if I really wanted to. From the age of 7, I haven't stopped. I have also been on the demo team since I was 9 years old and I have enjoyed doing that since then.
What does DéDé Dance mean to you?
DéDé means family to me! I always feel at home there and there is always a lot of fun. I met a large number of my friends at DéDé and still enjoy going there. It is a place where I now also see younger generations coming together and new groups of friends emerging. Yes, DéDé really is a 2nd home for me, though.
What is your favorite moment at DéDé Dance?
When I was 9 years old, I got to dance in the opening act of the show D-dazzled! I thought this was super cool and I still have the best memories of it! The shows in general have always stayed with me, this is such a great experience so I think those are really my favorite moments. Now I really enjoy performing and teaching my own students. It's great that they experience the same thing as I did and that I can now see them shine on a stage myself! Of course, I cannot forget DéDé HoliDé and the Sleepover classes. I always had the greatest fun with everyone here and I could actually go on like this for a long time hahahah!!!
