DéDé is one big family where everyone is welcome. I so enjoy dancing with my students and colleagues, having fun and taking them along in their dance development. Then when you meet such a little pink dancer(s) again years later or see them grow into a real lady over the years, it’s fantastic! And immediately makes you feel very old, but I very gladly take that for granted, haha.

I have a lot of those, but this one has always stuck with me anyway. I have lots of those, but this one has always stayed with me anyway.
I’ll never forget when a student (age 3) came up to me and said “Teacher, I’m wearing a very sexy ballet suit.” I saw a normal pink ballet suit and slightly surprised at the choice of words I just barely got “Oh…” out of my mouth then she said “Yes, just look how thin these spaghetti straps are and I have a bare back”. That’s when I had to hold back my laughter.

That was either Tarzan and Jane or Tarkan. Indeed, I have a picture in which I am dancing Tarkan, but in the costume of Tarzan and Jane….

I have so many of those. Every theater show, D-mission, performance, competition, dance class, all the sweet students, the grateful parents, and most of all, the much fun I have at DéDé.
