What makes teaching so much fun
I think I have a good balance between “fun” and “serious. I am incredibly perfectionist and want to bring out the best in every student, but I am also incredibly chaotic and a flap-out, which also makes my classes nice and light-hearted and fun!

Funny moment from your lesson
I made a funny little tune/easy bridge during the dance of “Beychella” to remember the count. My students still tease me about this! Haha.

What was your 1st DéDé dance?
I think Tarzan & Jane either Kung Fu Panda. I think this was around 2007 somewhere!

When I got the call that I could go train a demo team. I thought that was such fun news!

Favorite dance
React. But maybe I’m a little biased because I came up with these (partly) myself, haha. Furthermore, I also like Spectrum a lot!

How old were you when you started dancing?
When I had my first dance class, it was still at Kindergarten ballet. All the way in “Gîmmert City,” as it is somewhat known within DéDé these days, haha. I was 3 years old at the time. So already a very long time ago! When I was 6 or 7 years old, I went to DéDé. Which at the time was also located in Gemert!
