DéDé Dance teacher Nora

More about me

  • What makes teaching so much fun

I have been teaching children and adults classical ballet since 2009. My method is a mixture of different classical ballet methods ( think Vaganova/ Checcetti/ Balanchine/ Bournonville ). As a result, Dedeclassic method is very diverse. In my classes we work hard, but also laugh a lot. I know my students well and my goal is for each student, at their own level, to grow and shine.

  • Date of birth

    April 13, 1977

  • Funny moment from your lesson

We have a lot of fun in class, so funny moments abound. But the one day I was teaching and a wasp flew around the room, still gave some hilarious scenes ( and it produced some unusual dance moves)

  • What was your 1st DéDé dance?

Very first Dedeclassic dance I made was “Scarborough fair” in 2009.

  • Nicest DéDé memory

My fondest memory is: 300 students dancing Swan Lake at D-mission in 2016.

  • Favorite dance

My favorite dance: ”Amélie + Riverside” has a special place in my heart. These dances were performed in the 2010 show and D-mission 2012. And then at the “walk together for hope” events and at 2 funeral services ( Our dear M. of D , founder of Dedeance and of a Dede classic- student).

  • How old were you when you started dancing?

I started dancing at the age of 9 in my hometown of Oss. At age 11, I went to the dance academy in Tilburg
